CHEVRON DELO® 6170 CFO SAE 20W-40, 40 is an outstanding high dispersancy, high alkalinity, 17 base number engine oil for use in diesel engines used in railroad, power generation, oil well drilling, and marine and industrial service requiring a zinc-free oil and Generation 4 LL or Generation 5 lubricant characteristics. Chevron Delo 6170 CFO represents the latest in oil technology for this type of service and satisfies the requirements of the newest engine technology. Chevron Delo 6170 CFO is manufactured using the highest quality base oils and a nonchlorinated additive package that offers low engine wear and minimizes used oil disposal issues. Chevron Delo 6170 CFO SAE 20W-40 includes a dispersant viscosity index improver. New engine designs, aimed at reducing operating expenses, operate at higher combustion pressures and higher temperatures which require improved oxidation and viscosity control. In addition, new piston and ring designs call for increased alkalinity reserve to control corrosive wear and deposit formation. Chevron Delo 6170 CFO successfully handles these new requirements by providing outstanding resistance to viscosity increase due to superior oxidation and thermal stability, and by providing a high alkalinity level (17 base number, ASTM D 2896). Chevron Delo 6170 CFO is recommended:• for use in all railroad-type diesel engines for locomotive, marine equipment, stationary electric generating plants, offshore drilling  equipment, and many other applications. • where large medium-speed EMD or GE diesel engines are used for primary power. FOOD PROCESSING LUBRICANTS CHEVRON CAPELLA® P 68 ISO 68

provides superior wear protection for reciprocating, vane, and screw compressors. Chevron Capella P 68, formulated with ISO SYN® base stocks, is designed to specifically address the requirements of ammonia refrigeration systems and provide better results than naphthenic refrigeration oils in these systems. Chevron Capella P 68 provides advantages over naphthenic refrigeration oils in the critical performance areas of lubrication, thermal stability, and reduction of oil carryover.  Chevron Capella P 68 is the lubricant of choice for rotary screw, reciprocating, or rotary vane compressors in ammonia refrigeration systems. The single ISO grade is consistent with the recommendation of equipment manufacturers. Although designed for use in ammonia refrigeration systems, Chevron Capella P 68 is also recommended for use in systems using refrigerant R-22 and R-502 provided the evaporator temperature is above -32°C (-25°F). It is not recommended for systems using refrigerant R-12 or R-134a. Chevron Capella P 68 is compatible with the seal elastomers commonly used in refrigeration compressors (e.g., Buna-N, chloroprene). Naphthenic refrigeration oils can compromise the integrity of certain seal elastomers. It is good maintenance practice to install new seal elastomers when replacing a naphthenic refrigeration oil. This is especially important when chloroprene (neoprene) seals are present. Chevron Capella P 68 is certified by NSF and is acceptable as a lubricant where there is no possibility of food contact (H2) in and around food processing areas. The NSF Nonfood Compounds Registration Program is a continuation of the USDA product approval and listing program, which is based on meeting regulatory requirements of appropriate use, ingredient review and labeling verification. Chevron Capella P 68 is recommended for use in Vilter and Sabroe refrigeration compressors.
