Washington Fuel Tax: July 1, 2016
 
What does the Washington Motor Fuel Tax and Special Fuel Increase mean for you?

On July 1, 2016 the Washington Motor Fuel and Special Fuel Tax will increase 4.9 cents per gallon, from a current 44.5 cents to 49.4 cents per gallon.

 

What fuels does this affect?

This affects all types of gasoline and clear diesel.

 

Does it affect dyed diesel?

No, dyed diesel is not subject to the Motor Fuel or Special Fuel Tax.

 

Do I need to do anything?

No, you will notice an increase in your fuel price, and the new rate will be on your invoices. No action is required from you.

City of Sandpoint 1% Local Option Sales Tax: January 1, 2016
 
The City of Sandpoint, Idaho voter approved temporary 1% City sales tax will be effective January 1, 2016.  This is a five year temporary sales tax and will end on December 31, 2020.
 
This tax is only for the City of Sandpoint and only applies to currently sales taxable items defined by the State of Idaho.  Accounts with current exemptions will also be exempt from this tax.

What fuels does this affect?

This affects all types of gasoline and clear diesel.

 

Does it affect dyed diesel?

No, dyed diesel is not subject to the Motor Fuel or Special Fuel Tax.

 

Do I need to do anything?

No, you will notice an increase in your fuel price, and the new rate will be on your invoices. No action is required from you.

Idaho Fuel Tax: July 1, 2015
 
What does the Idaho Motor Fuel Tax Increase mean for you?

On July 1, 2015 the Idaho Motor Fuel Tax will increase 7 cents per gallon, from a current 25 cents to 32 cents per gallon. The Idaho Transfer Fee will not increase from the current 1 cent per gallon. The total Idaho Fuel Tax will now be 33 cents, instead of 26 cents.

 

What fuels does this affect?

This affects all types of gasoline and clear diesel.

 

Does it affect dyed diesel?

No, dyed diesel is only subject to the 1 cent per gallon transfer fee, which remains the same.

 

Do I need to do anything?

No, you will notice an increase in your fuel price, and the new rate will be on your invoices. No action is required from you.
